The slow-motion animations in this gallery represent Icabod's imitation
of various racewalking techniques and styles. Most pages contain two or more
animations to allow a close comparison of differing situations.
For starters, Icabod uses this page to illustrate the differences between
his conservative teaching style and that of a world-class athlete -- and
tries to show Walker B at a speed that approaches his racing speed.
(At top speed, you would see about 200 steps - heel strikes - per
